How to use your green hydrogen: The Climate Minute
Sunday Oct 10, 2021
Sunday Oct 10, 2021
“Green” hydrogen, produced with renewable energy, will be an important tool for decarbonization. We need to use this tool correctly, in places where it is the only answer. We talk with an expert about the best uses of green hydrogen. We can begin by replacing the ‘grey’ hydrogen (derived from methane) already being used in many industries. That would be a big step all by itself. Then we can look at steel, shipping and maybe even airplanes- if battery technology doesn’t get there first.

Why you should care about methane: The Climate Minute
Wednesday Sep 29, 2021
Wednesday Sep 29, 2021
The next 20 years are critical decades in addressing climate change. Methane (AKA natural) gas is widely used and the pipes transporting it have lots of leaks. The methane gas that escapes into the air will be at least 80 times more potent than carbon dioxide and will contribute to the global temperature rise. Cleaning up after the fracking industry must be a priority. We speak with an expert from the Clean Air Task Force to learn more.
