Kayaktivists challenge Shell, Obama misses boat- The Climate Minute Podcast-REPOST

The Obama Administration’s decision to allow oil exploration in the Chukchi Sea shows passivity where leadership is required. Climate hawks, like the “Kayaktivists” in Seattle, will just have to stop Shell by themselves. The framing of the TPP on the news is inaccurate. Instead of endless discussion of winners and losers, we should ask “Why can’t an environmental group have the same access to the negotiations as Exxon?”   Finally, consider if the current global refugee crisis is a harbinger of the future in a warming world.

Parcels here, parcels there- The Climate Minute Podcast

Auctions of leases to find energy sources were in the news this week.
Off the Massachusetts coast, parcels of open ocean were offered but had some
disappointing results . Should the state government  prepare things better for next time?
Just a few days after the State of the Union, the President contradictory decision to
to open large areas off the East Coast to drilling. What’s up with that?
